Crash Investigation Closes I-35E in Ellis County

A long traffic delay was reported on November 13 on I-35E in Ellis County. The delay is due to the investigation into a fatal crash that occurred on November 4 at the location. The southbound lanes of I-35E at Highway 77 were closed while an accident investigation was being conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to a spokesperson, the investigation and accident recreation is expected to take about an hour, after which time the road will be re-opened. The spokesperson went on to state that there is never a good time to perform a recreation but it is a necessary part of the investigation and litigation process. In the meantime, traffic was backed up for more than 3 miles.
