Two Killed in Wrong-Way Accident

miniSunday October 13 before 4 am in the morning, a Mini Cooper was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes on the George Bush Turnpike.

The car slammed into a sports utility vehicle, and the driver and the passenger of the Mini Cooper were killed.  The driver of the SUV sustained only minor injuries.  The accident took place near Josey Lane.

After the fatal accident, the tollway was closed for investigation.

While the details of the accident, including the cause and even the names of the victims, have not been released, such accidents are often the result of drinking and driving.  While texting and driving receives more publicity these days for being a major problem on the road, drinking and driving remains just as dangerous.

The risk is not worth it: call a cab or get a ride with a designated driver.  Most people underestimate how impaired they are, and put their lives and the lives of others on the road at risk when they drink and drive.

If you have been injured or lost a loved one as a result of a drunk driver accident, the car accident attorneys at Kirkendall Dwyer LLP can help.  Our attorneys have the experience and resources to investigate every aspect of your case.  Contact us today to discuss your legal options.
