A car wreck that occurred late at night on June 16 claimed the lives of four people. They were attempting to help a stranded motorist in Burleson when the accident occurred. Police reported a red colored truck had struck a white colored pickup truck and a disabled SUV near the Spinks Airport.

Four vehicles were involved in the crash with a total of 16 people. The driver of the red truck was a 17-year-old male. The SUV was driven by a 24-year-old woman. Two good Samaritans also came over from their home to help the driver of the SUV who had suffered a flat tire. The white pickup truck was driven by a 42-year-old youth pastor.

The red truck had eight teenagers as passengers ranging from 15 to 19 years of age. The four who were standing near the stranded SUV all died when the red truck struck the SUV and the white truck.
