Dallas Woman Suffers Serious Injuries in Accident near WinStar Casino

A Dallas woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving was hit by another vehicle. The crash occurred at about 11:15 p.m. on November 12 a few miles outside of Thackerville. The woman was driving a 2000 Volkswagen northbound on Merle Wolfe Road near WinStar Casino when her car was hit by a 1993 Chevrolet Blazer. The Chevy Blazer was driven by a Gainesville woman who reportedly failed to yield to a stop sign while traveling west on Lucky Seven Road.

The Dallas driver was airlifted to Plano Medical Center where she was admitted with multiple injuries and is listed in serious condition. The Gainesville woman was driving with two passengers and all three refused medical treatment. Police indicate that seatbelts were worn in both vehicles. The police are likely completing their investigation at the scene.
